Lisa and I met over 42 years ago in Lafayette IN during our young college days. As soon as I met her I knew she was the one but, it took some time for her to see it that way. A year later were married and we have had five kids, four boys and a girl, and five grandchildren. We have had many ups and downs in life and many challenges but, because of our faith in God and his word, the love we have for each other, the commitment, the determination to be a family, we have grown stronger by the year.

In our young days we decided to homeschool our children, so all our children have been home schooled up through high school and Lisa worked hard making sure our children had a strong educational life, a spiritual life and family life. I worked many hours for many people, had my own businesses, worked for some very big telecommunication companies but Lisa and I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do something that we both could do together.

A Montana Cowboy friend of mine told me about best version media and it was a company that I investigated and truly saw an opportunity to provide something to the community but also stability for Lisa and I. So, with a little arm twisting Lisa agreed to be my content coordinator and she has done a wonderful job of bringing families to life every month. I’ve always had an entrepreneur spirit and it was really hard working for companies that just didn’t live up to all their hype. Since we’ve joined best version media and we started our first magazine, Martinsville Neighbors, we feel that we have connected the residents of our neighborhoods with the best businesses in town, but more than that, we have connected the residents with the community.

God has always been the center of our family, of our life, and of our actions. Without God I wouldn’t have found the most wonderful woman to spend my life with. Have the wonderful children and grandchildren that I have. I wouldn’t be living in one of the best communities I think in this country. The Martinsville people are so giving and helpful to others. It’s a very loving community, a very family community and one that Lisa and I are very proud to call our home.

With this next edition to the Martinsville Neighbors Good Neighbors Podcast we’re hoping to connect more with the businesses and provide them another avenue to be in front of the community of Martinsville. Our goal with a Good Neighbors Podcast of Martinsville is to highlight all the great businesses that provide great services and products for residents throughout Martinsville. I’m looking forward to seeing you on our journey.
